This project started in August 2009 after spending the day filming the knit up of public urinal. My eyes were seduced by the colourful knit as well as the colourful personalities of the Guerilla knit/Yarn Bomb/ Knit Tag community.
The project is for all of the wonderful people who help put colour into our world. They brighten up our day and make us smile.
This independent project is currently being filmed all over the world. Cities visited include Sydney, Tel Aviv, Amsterdam, Berlin, Paris, Edinburgh, Glasgow.
In 2011 I plan to travel to New York, Austin, Vancouver and more, in order to cover as many interesting people who contribute to this subculture.
I’m currently looking for funding to help complete this project. Please contact me if you know of, or can contribute to this project. yarnbombing@hotmail.com
About me?
I’m currently based in Glasgow, I’ve moved to the other side of the world from my home of Sydney Australia. I work as a freelance editor for broadcasting stations and I’m also a photographer. My interest in documentary developed over the years as I started off traveling the world and photographing people and exhibiting in Sydney and Amsterdam.
I plan to complete this project by November 2011.
I wouldn’t have been able to do it without the help of my family and friends, but most importantly my awesome fabulous unique admirable YARNBOMBERS!
Thank you, this is for you.
